15th Bromley Scouts and the 41st Explorers sail through the canals on a weekend barge trip - Sept '11

The second weekend in September 2011 we spent another fantastic couple of days on the Roseanne canal boat travelling up and down the Grand Union Canal.

There were twelve of us in total, which included eight Scouts, including two of our 'old guard' who have now joined the 41st Explorers Group.

We arrived at the Wyvern Shipyard on Friday evening and spent the night settling in on the boat, the Scouts were very excited as you can imagine!

We set off on Saturday morning travelling South mooring up for lunch and then dinner in the evening, we then relaxed in the evening after an exhausting but fun day tackling all of the locks, the Scouts were all asleep by 10.30pm shattered from the days events!

We headed back on Sunday setting off at 7am and arrived safe and sound back at the shipyard for 3pm.

All in all a very good trip which the Scouts thoroughly enjoyed. Here's to the next one!
