1275 Sainburys vouchers banked from last year...
Let's double that figure for this year!
The Sainbury's Active Kids scheme is back in February. We're asking all parents, carers, friends, relatives to collect your vouchers and hand them into the group. Every little helps and will allow the group to get some really cool equipment.

Sainsburys and Tesco Vouchers
The
group always collects Tesco or Sainsburys vouchers. So when there's a
promotion on for schools and clubs, then don't forget us. Just bring
them into the the hall and drop them
into the box, or give them to a leader. Every little helps.
Thank you :)

Tag Rugby - Group Event 15th May 2011
Two of 15th scout
leaders; Paul and Rob organised the Bromley District Tag Rugby
Tournament. The 15th entered teams for all 4 leagues. One for the
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers / Leaders. Throughout the day, all
teams competed against other groups. It was a exciting day with
families and leaders cheering on their children, celebrating with
ice-creams, burgers and hot-dogs, before jumping around on the bouncy
castles.
The Beavers made it to the finals in their first competitive event.
The Cubs, who actually won the trophy last year, made it to the semi-finals
The Scouts made it the final and won against the 14th.
The leaders won 2 of their 4 games, and despite numerous injuries had a really enjoyable day.
Photos of this event for each section can be found in each respective section on the website. |
St. George's Day Parade - 01/05/2011
It was that time again where the group came together once more with all the other groups in Bromley to celebrate
St. George's Day!
As next year will see all groups in the borough of Bromley attending (not just Bromley), the current and traditional venue will not be used as its too small to host the new parade.
This was the last time the group would march into Bromley. Pictures now available. Just click on the picture>>>>

Annual General Meeting
What's the AGM? We hear some people ask. Well the AGM is an open
forum for the group to discuss the group's objectives and future
activities. It's also a time to go over the group finances and accounts
and to appoint the chair and relevant members of the group committee.
Parents are more than welcome to attend this meeting. It's a great
opportunity to see some of the behind the scenes "business" functions of
the group that needs to be in place for the group to run and perform
smoothly. In a lot of ways the group is like a public business, and
this is one of the meetings we need to hold to inform all those people
who are interested in the running of the group.
